Going global :)

Thanks to Ingram, Elissa Blue is now available to bookstores around the globe! If you don’t find it in your local bookstore, you can ask them to order it. I hadn’t realized that bookstores mostly just order from a single distributor, and it’s not Amazon. Ingram is the world’s biggest wholesale book distributor, and the company all of my local bookstores use; hopefully yours, too! So if you’re like me and still adore perusing the shelves of your local bookstore and that delightful booky smell, keep an eye out for Elissa Blue! ๐Ÿ˜€

Geeking out :D

I’ve been using WordPerfect since version 5.1 (that’s DOS, boys and girls!), even got pretty proficient in 6.0 and 6.1 as a professional word processor before grad school, but I have NEVER done anything so complex and awesome as the book cover I just finished in X8. Sure, the codes weirded out, gave me random black lines, forced page breelissa blue cover wrap for blogaks, and disappearing graphics, but I persevered! And many hours later, my cover is ready for publishing! Wait, you say, didn’t you already publish a paperback version of Elissa Blue? Yes, I did. But I’ve learned that publishing through Amazon and Barnes and Noble online doesn’t help you get your book in physical bookstores. For that, you need a distributor everybody uses like Ingram. Also, Amazon and B&N help you with templates and formatting for your cover. Ingram just wants a PDF. And BAM! I did it! ๐Ÿ˜€
